Keep foods fresher longer. Oxygen in the air causes food to loose it's flavor, texture, color, and nutrients. When you vacuum seal with the FRESHLOCK, you remove air from the storage bag and prevent spoilage due to oxidation. Eliminate freezer burn. Freezer burn is a conbination of oxidation and dehydration of frozen foods. This is common with freezer foods that are improperly packaged for the lenght of time stored. Vacuum sealing eliminates oxidation and, therefore, practically eliminates freezer burn. Deni FRESHLOCK Vacuum Sealer has many uses besides sealing food. Bags can be used instead of canning. The bags can be used for boil-in-bag or microwave cooking. You can also seal emergency or camping supplies to keep them dry and fresh. You can also use this sealer to seal photos in plastic. Power consumption 75 watts, UL Listed.This economical storage method seals meats and vegetables for the freezer or packages leftovers, snacks, or meals into single-serving portions, allowing shoppers to buy in bulk without concern about spoilage before food can be eaten. The Freshlock vacuum machine quickly removes and permanently seals air out of food storage bags, doubling foods' shelf life and retaining its texture, flavor, and nutrients longer.
